We all know that taste in music can differ, also during the Eurovision Song Contest… Some countries give the highest points to the winner while other countries ignore the winning song.
In 1987 22 countries participated in the Eurovision Songcontest. Each of the participating countries awarded 12, 10, 8–1 point(s) to their 10 favourite songs. Ireland won with the song Hold Me Now, sung by Johnny Logan. Iceland and Greece awarded no points to Ireland while France only gave 1 point to the winner.
