Only at the 5th rehearsals, we see our first band of the day, but definitely not the last. Following in the footsteps of LPS last year, Joker Out are one of Slovenia’s most successful acts of recent years. Their song title Carpe Diem represents the only Latin in this year’s competition, and presumably it’s Joker Out’s intention to seize every day between now and next week’s Semi-Final.

Eurovision.tv says we talk a lot at Eurovision about making a connection with the audience – in the arena, obviously, but also with the hundreds of millions of people watching on TV. Måneskin did a masterful job, and Joker Out have the same kind of charisma. Their big stage experience really shows too – this is an effortless performance, and they look like they’re having the time of their lives right now.
