The Roop are number #1 in Lithuanian Spotify chart …and break country records for views on YouTube

The Roop are flying high with their Pabandom iš naujo! Lithuanian national selection song, Discotheque, and creating new records.

Discotheque is currently number one in the Lithuanian Spotify charts and the music video has broken the record in Lithuania with over one million views in just two days.

The Roop are directly in to the Pabandom iš naujo! final with Discotheque after missing out with On Fire at Eurovision 2020 due to the contest cancellation. The band got to perform Discotheque for the first time in the Heat 2 selection. The track is becoming a sensation with fans around the world.

The video clip for Discotheque is inspired by 80s styles and the movies ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Twin Peaks’ series. It is directed by award-winning director Saulius Baradinskas. The song has an energetic and unique dance to accompany it. Some of the moves are inspired by legendary Lithuanian basketball player,  Arvydas Sabonis.
