We’re going to my favorite in the first semi final. I voted for Kate, but enough people didn’t have as much faith in this song so then the MGP journey ended for this song, perhaps no wonder with a 24% chance to qualify.

This is an absolutely beautiful song and is old-fashioned in a way, but it also has a touch of modern ballads so it doesn’t feel so old-fashioned.

Not unexpectedly, it was delivered quite flawlessly vocally and I think Kate has the right empathy in the song, so what went wrong?

I have a feeling that a few too many people thought this was too boring and bland and that’s not exactly the criteria for a song you want to vote for.

And one should not forget that a lady named Ulrikke possibly had a little too good hold on the ballad lovers this evening and with only one vote to cast you don’t give someone to the second-best.

If it’s any consolation for Kate, she’s still my favorite, but maybe she could have posed in a costume that stood out a bit more, she disappears a bit on stage from time to time.
