SWITZERLAND 2015 in AFRIKAANS
And now we can reveal the second of the 2015 Eurovision entries in Afrikaans. This time it is the turn of Switzerland. The cover, just like Cyprus, has been recorded by Karla Christene. The Afrikaans title is DIS NOU DIE TYD VIR MY (It is now the time for me).

Mélanie René to represent Switzerland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest
Switzerland have held their national selection with six finalists taking part. The show took place in Kreuzlingen in front of an enthusiastic audience. Televoting and an expert jury would decide which act would go to Vienna.
The six finalists performed their Eurovision song and then performed a cover version of a popular song. The finalists were –
- Deborah Bough – Take me back to 23 (cover song: Shake It Off by Taylor Swift)
- Timebelle – Singing About Love (cover song: Rude Boy by Rihanna)
- Licia Chery – Fly (cover song: All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor)
- Andy McSean – Hey Now – (cover song: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol)
- Mélanie René – Time To Shine – (cover song: Chandelier by Sia)
- Tiziana – Only Human – (cover song: The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood)
Conchita Wurst was the special guest and performed the winning 2014 Eurovision song, Rise Like A Phoenix.
After the voting was over it was declared that Mélanie René had won the right to represent Switzerland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with her song, Time To Shine.
