More success for Nicole Hammett in Malta

Recently ESC Covers reported about the young and talented singer, Nicole Hammett, from Malta. Now she is having more success that we wanted to tell you about. Nicole has just won the Grand Prix with the highest marks from all contestants in a festival by Diamond Productions.

Nicole sang the operatic aria Sempre Libera from La Traviata by Verdi. She has a unique voice where she can adapt from operatic to rock and to pop. Nicole is thankful to her vocal coaches Danica Muscat (who is one of the 2018 Malta Song For Europe finalists again), Joshua De Cadeneux and Joseph Chircop.

In addition to the success with the Grand Prix, Nicole has advanced to the semi-final stage of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge on Net tv in Malta. She performed Phantom Of The Opera.

Nicole Sciberras makes it through to next round of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge in Malta

Nicole Sciberras is another young and talented singer from Malta. She has successfully made it through to the next phase of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge competition. In the first round she gave a very strong performance of the Beyoncé song, Smash Into You.

Nicole took part in the 2015 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection, where she covered I Will Be, originally recorded by Avril Lavigne.

Nicole joins, amongst others, Rachel Lowell and Justine Shorfid (both of whom we earlier reported about on ESC Covers) in the next round of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge.

Malta: Watch Rachel Lowell cover ‘One Moment In Time’ on The Entertainers – Singing Challenge

Rachel Lowell is a young and talented singer from Malta. She participated in the 2016 Malta Junior Eurovision national selection, where she covered the Celine Dion song, I Surrender.

Rachel is currently competing in The Entertainers – Singing Challenge on Net tv in Malta. At the weekend she sang the Whitney Houston classic, One Moment In Time, and she gave an outstanding performance. Her vocals were controlled and crystal clear. A pleasure to hear.

Rachel told ESC Covers about her experience “It was an amazing experience… singing with a band is such an amazing feeling”.

ESC Covers wishes Rachel good luck with her ‘singing challenge’ on The Entertainers. I am sure she is one to watch for the future.

Malta JESC 2016 singers make it to ‘The Entertainers – Singing Challenge’

The Entertainers is a popular variety programme on Net tv in Malta. It is produced by SLE and hosted by Janvil (a Malta Song For Europe finalist on five occasions in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2011, 2012). Three singers from the 2016 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest have made it to the The Entertainers – Singing Challenge.

The singers are Justine Shorfid, Rachel Lowell and Kira Copperstone. ESC Covers wishes all the singers good luck with their challenge ahead.

Justine has a very strong and soulful voice and she performed I’d Rather Go Blind (originally by Etta James) in the Malta JESC 2016 final.

Rachel also is very talented and has a powerful and clear pop vocal. She performed I Surrender (by Celine Dion) in the Malta JESC 2016 final.

Kira has a strong voice too and took on the challenge of performing Listen (by Beyoncé) in the Malta JESC 2016 final.
