Day 6 – JESC 2020: Virtual Press Conference with the participants

A virtual press conference took place with all 12 participants of the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest today. Each acts was introduced and was asked something about their country and to sing their favourite part of their JESC song.

Questions were asked from journalists to some of the singers – ESC Covers had questions raised to the singers of France (Valentina), Georgia (Sandra) and Poland (Ala).

Today the dress rehearsal would take place (but not for viewing by the public or journalists) –

Press Conference: Ireland 2018 JESC – Taylor Hynes

Taylor Hynes will represent Ireland at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Sunday with the upbeat and happy vibe of IOU.

Today he appeared relaxed and enjoying the occasion at the press conference for Ireland. He is happy with his rehearsals. In the first set of rehearsals on Tuesday he was uncomfortable wearing one jacket and it did not suit the cameras also. So he changed it and now he is feeling good.

He has received inspiring advice from previous Irish participants Zena (2016) and Aimee (2015). He also enjoyed making the video clip featuring previous Irish Eurovision contestants Niamh Kavanagh (1993 winner) and Ryan O’Shaughnessy (1028). He said it was a lot of fun.

Taylor is joined on stage by two amazing dancers from the Fit Kids Fit Teens Ireland dance academy. They are Abo Obhakhan and Daphney Ndjatang.

Tijana Bogićević at Serbian Press Conference in Kiev

Tijana Bogićević is ready to take to the Eurovision stage for Serbia with In Too Deep.  She gave a confident and relaxed chat at the press conference and happy with the stage performance rehearsals so far.

Tijana was on the Eurovision stage as part of the Serbian team with Nina in 2011. Nina has wished Tijana good luck and give her some little tips about how to enjoy the Eurovision this year.

 

 

Armenia: Anahit & Mary happy with rehearsal

Anahit & Mary will represent Armenia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with their song Tarber.

The girls attended the press conference for Armenia and Anahit explained she had been sick this week but now she has recovered.

The girls were happy with their rehearsal and they have a colourful stage appearance.

The songwriters are Nick Egibyan (who is a popular writer in Armenia and other countries too) and Avet Barseghyan.

Bulgaria: Lidia Ganeva attends press conference despite feeling sick

Lidia Ganeva will represent Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Magical Day.

Lidia had not been feeling well this week with her and  Anahit, one of the Armenian singers, gave her a hug at the press conference and said to her “I know what it’s like to be sick here this week”.  Now she is starting to feel a lot better.

Lidia was very charming at the press conference and said she loves to study geography and likes holidays. She said her ‘magical and dream’ holiday is to travel the world with her family.

Klesta Qehaja presented with a Top Personality award at 2016 Junior Eurovision

Klesta Qehaja will represent Albania at the 2016 Junior Eurovision with Besoj.

At the Albanian press conference ESC Covers presented Klesta with a Top Personality award at this competition. Klesta said she loves chocolates so she will be very happy with the award because she was presented with chocolates from South Africa and United Kingdom.

George Michaelides and the Cyprus team shine at Press Conference in Malta

George Michaelides will represent Cyprus at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Sunday with Dance Floor. He gave a confident interview at the press conference at the MCC in Valletta, Malta. He even gave us an example of street dancing.

He is a talented singer and dancer and he loves judo in his spare time and supporting Arsenal football club.

He will be joined on stage by four talented girl dancers. Nicoletta, Emily, Georgina and Mia (George’s younger sister). They are all super dancers and they also like to sing. The girls attend the same performing arts school as George in Cyprus.

The choreographer and creative director is Gareth Walker who worked on the closing ceremony of the London Olympics and Paralympics in 2012. He has also worked with many world famous acts including Rihanna, Take That, Spice Girls, One Direction and Jessie J.
