Nicole teamed up with Trio to sing ICH HAB DICH DOCH LIEB. There is an Afrikaans cover by husband and wife Phillip & Ella Kotze but we cannot find it on Youtube. They call it EK HET JOU SO LIEF.
EUROVISION COVER – MERCI CHERIE (German)
The 1966 Eurovision winner MERCI CHERIE by Udo Jurgens from Austria was covered by Nicole from Germany – unfortunately also in German. Nicole won Eurovision for Germany in 1982……

Neoton familia of Hungary covered Nicole’ 1982 Eurovision winner for Germany EIN BISSCHIEN FRIEDEN in Hungarian.
100 RALPH SIEGEL SONGS – SONG 10 (Peter pan)
In 1982 Paola sang Peter Pan at the German selection and ended in 2nd place after Nicole – it was the third year in a row that songs of Ralph occupied the top 2 places.
100 RALPH SIEGEL SONGS – SONG 9 (Papillon)
Nicole had a lot of hits in the years 1981 to 1985 and Papillon was one of them. Nicole originally recorded it in German but she also recorded versions in English, French and Dutch for example. The song was also a big hit in South Africa in Afrikaans by two of the biggest female singers – Carike Keuzenkamp and Rina Hugo.
JUNIOR EUROVISION – AUSTRALIA
In Tbilisi at the Junior Eurovision song contest a great program book was handed out looking very much like those at ADULT Eurovision. Roy of ESC Covers had each of the 16 acts sign the book and for the next days we will post it. Today we can highlight the fourteenth one – it is the AUSTRALIA who ended with 172 points – Isabella and Nicole (of Cyprus) demonstrated to some journalists one evening their dance moves.

FOUR EUROVISION WINNERS at the German selection
Four ESC winners will be present at the Eurovision Song Contest – Unser Song 2017 on 9 February in Cologne.
Lena, who is one of jury members, will be joined by NICOLE, Ruslana Lyzhychko and Conchita Wurst. The three singers will perform a Medley of Eurovision winning songs, but not their own. Ruslana will sing Euphoria of Loreen, Conchita will sing Satellite of Lena and Nicole – “Merci Chérie” of Udo Jürgens.

Lena won in 2010 with Satellite
Conchita won in 2014 with Rise like a phoenix
