Muireann McDonnell has performed a beautiful version of the standard classic, Moon River. Muireann gives her own and charming interpretation of the song. She thanks Thornton Pianos and their crew for the opportunity to play the restored Challen upright piano and the support they give musicians in Ireland.
Moon River was composed by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer. It was originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and has been covered by many artists and Andy Williams is particularly known for his version of the song.
Muireann represented Ireland at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Suile Glasa.

Muireann McDonnell has won an important songwriting competition in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She won in the U17s category at the Forestside Live Sessions competition.
Muireann is doing really well with her songwriting skills and live performances. She represented Ireland at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Súile Glasa.

Muireann McDonnell has been a busy girl performing at many gigs including the Trad Fest at the famous Temple Bar area in Dublin, Ireland. At just 13 years old she has impressed many with her own compositions and unique cover versions of songs.
Muireann performed Linger by the Cranberries and also the song Too Long that she originally recorded when she was 11 years old at the Declan Sessions.
It was at the Rhythm & Roots at the Beardfire Studios that Muireann showed her versatility with the song A Little More with Rohan and Al.
Muireann represented Ireland at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Georgia with Súile Glasa.

In Tbilisi at the Junior Eurovision song contest a great program book was handed out looking very much like those at ADULT Eurovision. Roy of ESC Covers had each of the 16 acts sign the book and for the next days we will post it. Today we can highlight the third one – it is Ireland who ended with 54 points – many journalists in Tbilisi thought she stood out from the rest and would do well.
Well it was supposed to be a secret until the recorded TG4 selection shows were all broadcast but it has been leaked via digital download outlets that the Irish entry at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be by Muireann McDonnell and her song Súile Glasa (Green Eyes). It is not possible to play the song yet but it is visible to see.
