Over the last few weeks viewers on the tv channel, S4C, have been searching for potential stars to represent Wales for the first time at the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The contestants have been narrowed down gradually and last week we saw 12 young singers take to a stage in the Quadrant Shopping Centre in Swansea. This was to give the kids a taste of performing to the public.

Six singers were selected for the grand final of the 2018 Chwilio am Seren national selection to be broadcast on Tuesday 9 October in Llandudno in Wales.

Let us take a look at the finalists and their performances (all in the Welsh language and including a version of the winning ESC song of 2014 by Conchita WurstRise Like A Phoenix) in Swansea –

JUNIOR EUROVISION – ARMENIA

In Tbilisi at the Junior Eurovision song contest a great program book was handed out looking very much like those at ADULT Eurovision. Roy of ESC Covers had each of the 16 acts sign the book and for the next days we will post it. Today we can highlight the eleventh one – it is ARMENIA who ended with 148 points – Misha treated the press with several covers – he especially sang for ESC Covers the Irish song.

ARMENIA READY TO ANNOUNCE JUNIOR EUROVISION ENTRY

The Public TV Company of Armenia is happy to announce that Misha’s entry song for JESC 2017 will premiere tonight, at 17:00 CEST!

“Boomerang” was composed by Vahram Petrosyan, the lyrics were written by Avet Barseghyan, David Tserunyan and Arthur Aghekyan. The song was chosen internally by the creative team of AMPTV.

“I love my song! The music is powerful, while the lyrics carry a strong message: everything we do in life will always come back to us, just like a boomerang! I encourage everyone to believe in their dreams, share their love with the world and most importantly be kind to one another” – says Misha.
