A bit late but better late than never – a few days ago it was the birthday of MAXI GARDEN. She turned 46. In 1988 she and her mother Chris represented GERMANY at the Eurovision song contest with a song called LIED FUR EINEN FREUND. Ralph Siegel composed it and Bernd Meininger wrote the lyrics. It is the number 1 Eurovision song of all time of ESC COVERS.

Song 66 in your series of 100 Ralph Siegel songs bring us back to a song from the German Eurovision selection. It is FRIEDEN FUR DIE TEDDYBAREN by Christ Garden & Maxi. It was in the 1987 Eurovision selection and the next year, 1988, they won the ticket to go to Eurovision.
