The slogan for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Liverpool in May is ‘United By Music’. The logo for the contest has also been revealed ahead of the semi-final allocation draw tomorrow in the city.
The theme and the logo for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Kiev, Ukraine was revealed today. Celebrate Diversity is the message for the contest this year and a unique logo has been designed based on Ukrainian bead necklaces called Namysto.
The Eurovision Executive Supervisor, Jan Ola Sand, explained “The notion of celebrating Diversity builds on last year’s theme of ‘Come Together’ and is at the heart of Eurovision values: it is all inclusive and all about countries around Europe, and beyond, joining together to celebrate both our common ground and our unique differences, as well as some great music.”
Launch day today as the new OGAE Rest of the World Logo has been officially announced.
After an exciting voting period where a range of great logos were submitted and voted on, the winner, Scott Foley from Australia, has taken comments on board and tweaked his final submission to end up with a stunning logo that has everyone talking. As we are a fan club representing people from all over the world, the colour scheme has been intentionally chosen so as not to represent, suggest or hint at a particular country’s flag.
Scott has also provided us with a very exciting Facebook banner (soon to be launched) and a t-shirt design (more details to follow) and is looking at the possibility of personalising the logo with different colours to represent different countries. Who knows, a range of items featuring the logo may follow, given the excitement on launch day. Stay tuned.
