Nina Janeva is a popular female vocalist from FYR Macedonia. She has just released a brand new song and video clip for Ova e kraj (This is the end).
The song and text and arrangement and production are by Aleksandar Masevski, who composed the two most recent Macedonia Junior Eurovision songs (Dancing Through Life by Mina Blažev 2017 and Love Will Lead Our Way by Martija Stanojković 2016). the song is a bluesy, Balkan ballad with some gospel like vocals.
Nina took part in the 2014 Skopje fest (Macedonian national Eurovision selection) in 2014.
Mina Blažev recently represented FYR Macedonia at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her upbeat and radio friendly song Dancing Through Life. Mina impressed many with her mature and impressive performance in Georgia.
At 14 years old she has already tasted much success. She was the winner of the Pearl Award at the Ezerski Biseri festival and has won seven first prizes, three runners up and a third prize in various competitions.
Mina was also a popular contestant on the highly rated Pinkove Zvezdice tv show. There she sung a variety of songs such as Nismo smeli and Bitanga i princeza.
ESC Covers met with Mina in Tbilisi at the Junior Eurovision and she gave a version of one of her favourite Eurovision songs Beautiful Mess by Kristian Kostov, who represented Bulgaria. You can see the video below.
You can also see Mina’s performance of Dancing Through Life in Georgia as well as her singing Nismo smeli on on Pinkove Zvezdice. I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of Mina in the future.
Elena Petreska has released her brand new single entitled Nešto (Something). The song’s music and production is by Ylva and Linda Persson, Niklas Bergqvist and Simon Johansson with lyrics by Elena Risteska (who represented FYR Macedonia at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest). Guitars are by Patric Skog.
Nešto featured in the recent 2017 Makfest in FYR Macedonia. Elena Petreska participated in the Macedonian Eurovision national selections in 2000 and 2007.
Mina Blažev will take to the stage in Tbilisi, Georgia next month and represent her country, FYR Macedonia. She will perform the song Dancing Through Life. It is a classy, sophisticated and upbeat dance track that is radio friendly and can be popular on dance floors around Europe.
Dancing Through Life is written, arranged and produced by Aleksandar Masevski. He also was behind the wonderful entry from FYR Macedonia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision by Martija Stanojković and Love Will Lead The Way.
Mina is 14 years old and has already had success in popular music festivals including taking the coveted Pearl Award at the Ezerski Biseri fest in Macedonia. She was also a popular finalist this year in the Balkan talent show Pinkove Zvezdice.

The 2017 Makfest competition will take place over 5th, 6th and 7th October in Štip in FYR Macedonia. Besides some top local acts there will be international stars with some amazing music also with some Eurovision connections.
Let us look at some of the acts taking part –
Macedonian singer Elena Petreska will sing Nešto written by Swedish sisters Ylva and Linda Persson (who have submitted several national final songs for Eurovision and Junior Eurovision) and lyrics are by the 2006 FYR Macedonia Eurovision singer, Elena Risteska. Elena Petreska took part twice in the Macedonian national selections in 2000 with Svetlina and in 2007 with Peam.
Elvira Michieva will represent Azerbaijan. She is currently based in Germany. Elvira took part in the 2010 Azeri Eurovision selection with the song Up, Up composed by Isa Melikov.
Tahmina Niyazova will represent Tajikistan with the song Ti moy svet (You are my light). It is composed by Rolan Seiitbekov (DJ Rolan), who is a top dj and producer from Kyrgyzstan.
Gunesh Abasova will represent Belarus with her song Neba. She has taken part several times in the Belarussian Eurovision national selections.
Vlatko Ilievski will also take part. He represented FYR Macedonia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with Rusinka. The composer of that song, Grigor Koprov, also has a composition in the Makfest and top songwriter and producer, Darko Dimitrov, has composed for the competition. Amongst his Eurovision successes is the 2006 FYR Macedonia entry Ninanajna.
From Finland participating is Sonja Bishop (she has taken part in both Finnish and Latvian Eurovision selections) and from Sweden there is Emanuel Bagge (from Sweden’s Got Talent). Sweden Songs are behind these two talented acts.

Elena Risteska returns with a new single and video clip to warm up these cool autumn days. The song is entitled Tequila & Lemon. The song has a hot Balkan vibe that reminds us of the summer fun by the beaches.
Darko Dimitrov is the composer, producer and arranger of Tequila & Lemon. Elena is also credited as one of the songwriters. The publishers of the song and video are from Russia
Elena goes from strength to strength and is one of the most respected artists from FYR Macedonia and the Balkans.
Elena represented FYR Macedonia at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with Ninanajna.

Martija Stanojković recently performed at a summer festival in Karpoš, FYR Macedonia. She gave an excellent version of the international summer hit Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber. Martija was confident as ever on stage accompanied by four girl dancers.
Martija represented FYR Macedonia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Love Will Lead Our Way and had much success on the talent show Pinkove Zvezdice.
Mina Blažev has been selected to represent FYR Macedonia at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Georgia in November. She is 14 years old and is from Skopje. Mina was selected via an internal audition process.
Mina was a finalist on the talent tv show Pinkove Zvezdice earlier this year. You can see her perform a song on the show entitled Bitanga i princeza.
The song from Mina will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Annia has just released the English version, with a video also, of her brand new song Rambambam. The song has a sexy summer vibe and is cool for the beaches and dance floors. The music and arrangement is by Darko Dimitrov and lyrics are by Lindon Berisha.
Annia is joined by the Beatrix Crew dancers in the video. The label and copyright is by IDJTunes and the Rambambam will soon be available to purchase or stream via most digital platforms.
Annia (or Anja Veterova) recently surprised us all with a marvellous rendition of the big summer hit Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber. She sings in Spanish perfectly and her vocals sound awesome as she performed on a radio show in FYR Macedonia.
Anja Veterova represented FYR Macedonia at the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. That now seems a long time ago as Annia is blossoming in to a real star performer.

Tamara Stojkovska is a charming and promising singer from FYR Macedonia. She has just recorded her version of a song made popular by Adele, Make You Feel My Love. The song showcases Tamara’s beautiful and crystal clear tone to her vocals.
Tamara has recorded a video for the song that also features Anna Markovska and Boban Kataroski from Expose Dance Studio in Bitola in FYR Macedonia. The arrangement is by Davor Necak and was recorded in Ferzenk studio. It is a DrimKast production.
