Results released of 2017 Malta Eurovision Song Contest final

After Claudia Faniello‘s successful win for Malta with Breathlessly, the full public voting results of the 2017 Malta Eurovision Song Contest final have been released by the broadcaster PBS.

  1. Claudia Faniello – Breathlessly – 4,996 votes
  2. Janice Mangion – Kewkba – 4,544 votes
  3. Kevin Borg – Follow – 2,502 votes
  4. Brooke Borg – Unstoppable – 2,000 votes
  5. Franklin Calleja –Follow Me – 1,303 votes
  6. Maxine Pace – Bombshell – 627 votes
  7. Deborah C & Josef Tabone – Tonight – 572 votes
  8. Raquella – Ray Of Light – 551 votes
  9. Cherton Caruana – Fighting To Survive – 340 votes
  10. Klinsmann Coleiro – Laserlight – 332 votes
  11. Rhiannon Fearless – 288 votes
  12. Crosswalk – So Simple – 245 votes
  13. Richard Edwards – You – 186 votes
  14. Jade Vella – Seconds Away – 166 votes
  15. Shauna Vassallo – Crazy Games – 159 votes
  16. Miriana Conte – Don’t Look Down – 156 votes

You will see it was a straight race between Claudia and the song performed in the Maltese language by Janice Mangion, Kewkba. The acts between third and fifth place received votes in the thousands but from sixth to last place the votes were in the hundreds.

Malta: 60 shortlisted songs for 2017 Malta Eurovision Song Contest

From a total of 156 submissions in Malta we now have the first phase of the competition where 60 songs have been shortlisted. PBS will eventually narrow down the list to just 16 songs for the grand final to be held most likely in February of 2017.

Who will follow Ira Losco and represent Malta at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine. Here are the 60 acts and songs –
