Gianluca Cilia, who is 9 years old, has been chosen to represent Malta at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi, Georgia. In the Malta national final he performed the Italian song by Massimo Ranieri, Perdere L’Amore, and impressed the watching televoting public.
10 acts competed in the final where they all performed a cover song.
The interval consisted of outstanding performances by previous Malta Junior Eurovision acts – Federica Falzon (2014), Gaia Cauchi (2013), Destiny (2015) and Christina Magrin (2016).
The song for Gianluca Cilia for Junior Eurovision will be selected later in the year. You can see his performance in the final below.
Polina Bogusevich won a hotly contested 21 strong contestants final and will represent Russia at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia later this year. Her song is titled Kryly (Wings).
The national selection took place at the Artek International Children Centre in Crimea.

Anna represented Ukraine at the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and is certainly an artist to watch for in the future.
