
The first semi-final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest took place and 10 acts have progressed to the grand final on Saturday.

Israel hosted a party at the Euroclub in Kiev and there were many artists performing. Alma was one of the top performers where she performed her French Eurovision song for 2017, Requiem.

Lucie Jones took to the stage at the Wiwi Jam party at the Euroclub for journalists, fans, artists and invited guests in Kiev. She performed the 7th Heaven remix version of Never Give Up On You.
Lucie also performed Euphoria (by Loreen ESC 2012 Sweden winning song) and did a duet with the Spanish singer Manel Navarro of Shape Of You by Ed Sheeran.
Lucie will sing in the second half of the grand final for the United Kingdom on 13 May.

Francesco Gabbani will represent Italy at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with Occidentali’s Karma. He is the hot favourite to win the contest this year and today he had his first rehearsal and later had a meet and greet with the press.
He was in a jolly and buoyant mood and was asked to demonstrate the choreography with the monkey on stage for fans.
It was also revealed that Francesco’s brand new album has gone straight to number one in the Italian charts today.

Anja Nissen will represent Denmark at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with her anthemic ballad Where I Am. Today she has released the ‘Where I Am – EP’ consisting of her Eurovision entry and five brand new songs.
Anja has taken great pride in composing the songs herself and she explained they mean a lot to her with personal feelings attached to them and they are uplifting and feel good that Eurovision fans should enjoy.

Ilinca & Alex Florea are charming everyone and having fun here in Kiev at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest where they will perform Yodel It! Today was the second press conference where they were both relaxed and chatting with the media.
Ilinca gave us another example of her yodelling and how she inspired to do this after seeing clips of a girl doing a country and western song on an American talent show online. Alex gave us an example of his rock style singing voice.
Tijana Bogićević is ready to take to the Eurovision stage for Serbia with In Too Deep. She gave a confident and relaxed chat at the press conference and happy with the stage performance rehearsals so far.
Tijana was on the Eurovision stage as part of the Serbian team with Nina in 2011. Nina has wished Tijana good luck and give her some little tips about how to enjoy the Eurovision this year.
Artsvik will represent Armenia at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest with Fly With Me. Today she gave a press conference and said she was happy with the staging so far.
She also talked about before Eurovision and The Voice Of Russia she tried many types of work but always music was her inspiration and she had to do something about that.
Claudia Faniello has been very busy preparing and promotion her Malta 2017 Eurovision Song Contest entry, Breathlessly. At the weekend she performed a medley of some of her previous Malta Eurovision Song Contest national selection songs on the popular entertainment show on TVM, Sibtek.
Claudia has also released an Italian version of Breathlessly entitled Perdersi. Claudia is actually half Italian.
