Alexa Curtis will sing ‘We Are’ for Australia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision

Alexa Curtis was recently revealed to be the representative of Australia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Her song and official video have been revealed. The song is entitled We Are. It is a strong and anthemic pop song that will surely do well in Malta.

We Are is composed by Ali Tamposi (she has written songs for the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, One Direction, Demi Lovato and many others) and Tania Doko (who has worked with acts such as Tina Arena, Samantha Jade, Måns Zelmerlöw).

Dunja Jeličić will sing ‘U La La La’ for Serbia at 2016 Junior Eurovision

Serbia will be represented by Dunja Jeličić at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malta in November. Now the song and official video have been released. The song is U La La La and it is a happy and upbeat and feelgood song.

U La La La was composed by Vladimir Graić and Leontina Vukomanović with Dunja herself. Dunja was selected internally by the broadcaster RTS together with the Children’s Belgrade Cultural Centre.

Cyprus: George Michaelides reveals ‘Dance Floor’ song and video

The 2016 Junior Eurovision song from Cyprus has been revealed. George Michaelides will sing Dance Floor and today the song and official video was released. It is an upbeat and lively dance song with some ethnic tones. It will surely go down well with the audience in Malta in November.

It is composed by Andreas Anastasiou with George Michaelides himself. The video is directed by Maria Hari and is produced by CyBC with music production by Andreas Anastasiou and Jonas Gladnikoff. Recording, mixing and mastering are by Efthivoulos Theocharous. The vocal coach is Christina Averkiou. Backing vocals are provided by Nikoletta Papakyriakou, Marilena Papakyriakou, Eleana Charalambous and Loukas Demetriou. The choreography is by Charlene Louise Bettis.

Lidia Ganeva releases official video clip for ‘Magical Day (Vŭlsheben den)’

Lidia Ganeva will represent Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Magical Day (Vŭlsheben den). Now the official video clip has been released. The song has a very strong production.

The music producer is Vladimir ‘Grafa’ Ampov with music and arrangement by Vladimir ‘Grafa’ Ampov. Lyrics are by Vladimir ‘Grafa’ Ampov and Iliya Grigorov. The backing vocals are provided by Desislava Heistova, Vladimir ‘Grafa’ Ampov, Preyah, Lidia Ganeva, Agleia Kaneva, Valentina Nikova, Nikol Kaneva, Elia Todorova, Daniela Piriankova, Nevena Aleksandrova and guitars by Vasil Krumov. The recording and mixing are by Grafa, Algoriddim/Monte Studio (Sofia). Mastering is by Brian Gardner USA and the director is Vasil Stefanov. Camera man is Vasil Stefanov with styling by Ina Assa. The production is by BNT.

The Netherlands JESC: Kisses release official video for Kisses and Dancin’

The Netherlands will be represented by the all girl band Kisses at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with their song Kisses and Dancin’. Now the official video of the song has been released. It is a fun and upbeat song and the video expresses this. The girls appear to be having a lot of fun.

Kisses are Kymora, Stefania and Sterre and they were selected earlier in the year by the broadcaster AVROTROS.

Mariam Mamadashvili will represent Georgia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

10 years old Mariam Mamadashvili will sing for Georgia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malta in November. An expert jury decided she would be the one to fly the Georgian flag.

The composer and producer will again be Giga Kukhianidze. The song will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Sofiia Rol wil sing ‘Planet Craves For Love’ for Ukraine at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Sofiaa Rol was recently selected to represent Ukraine at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest  with her song Planet Craves For Love. She battled it out with 11 other acts to win the national selection. A combination of expert jury and public votes decided the contest.

Alexander Minyonok to represent Belarus at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Alexander Minyonok has been selected to represent Belarus at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malta in November. He won a tense final with his song Muzyka Tvoikh Pobed (Music of your wins). The quality of songs was of a very high standard. After the televoting and jury voting there was a tie for the first place between Alexander and Olga Konovalova. Olga won the televoting vote with her song Serdtsa Bit (Heart beat) and Alexander the jury vote. Alexander was declared the winner when each jury member came on stage and cast an individual vote, where he gained the most.

Big talent on 2016 Pinkove Zvezde kids talent show…with some Eurovision covers

The 2016 Pinkove Zvezde kids tv talent show broadcast Serbia, FYR Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Balkans has discovered some gems this year. Martija Stanojković was on the show and has been selected to represent FYR Macedonia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta in November. She finished in the runner up position including performing a charming version of the song Vlak.

However, there were also outstanding singers like Elena Bimbiloska, from FYR Macedonia, who included in her songs an amazing performance of Crno i belo (Kaliopi –  2012 ESC FYR Macedonia). The winner of the show was Marko Bošnjak from Prozor-Rama in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Another fine Macedonia singer in the show was Antonia Gigovska. She performed Vrati mi go sonceto and gave a confident and classy show. Finally, we have to look at Darija Vračević from Belgrade in Serbia. She sang Brazil (Bebi Dol – 1991 ESC Yugoslavia). This performance was adorable and full of charm.
