Nicole Sciberras is another young and talented singer from Malta. She has successfully made it through to the next phase of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge competition. In the first round she gave a very strong performance of the Beyoncé song, Smash Into You.
Nicole took part in the 2015 Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest national selection, where she covered I Will Be, originally recorded by Avril Lavigne.
Nicole joins, amongst others, Rachel Lowell and Justine Shorfid (both of whom we earlier reported about on ESC Covers) in the next round of The Entertainers – Singing Challenge.
Malta have held the selection to find the act that will represent them at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Sofia, Bulgaria. 20 acts performed a song of their choice. The show was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on Saturday 11 July.
The voting was a combination of expert jury and televoting. The winning act was Destiny Chukunyere who performed her soulful version of Think originally recorded by Aretha Franklin. The song for Junior Eurovision will be revealed by PBS later in the year.
