María Ólafsdóttir was victorious in the Söngvakeppnin grand final and will represent Iceland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with her song Unbroken. Tonight María performed the song that in the semi-final was sung in the Icelandic language Lítil Skref.
Seven songs battled it out this evening. The acts and songs were –

Sunday– Feathers
Björn & Friends – Piltur og stúlka
María Ólafsdóttir – Unbroken
Elín Sif – Dance Slow
Friðrik Dór – Once Again
Haukur Heiðar Hauksson – Milljón Augnablik
The expert jury and televoting decided that two songs would make it to the superfinal. They were –
Friðrik Dór – Once Again
María Ólafsdóttir – Unbroken
After televoting only María Ólafsdóttir was declared the winner with Unbroken. The song was composed by the band StopWaitGo (who also wrote the runner up song).
Iceland kicked off their 2015 EurovisionSöngvakeppnin season with their first semi-final show. Six acts performed and three would progress to the final.
