SHEETMUSIC OF THE VERY FIRST EUROVISION SONG CONTEST EVER

Robert Overeem from Amsterdam, the Netherlands is one of the biggest collector of Eurovision material, be it vinyl singles, CD’s or sheet music.

He has in his collection a sheet music piece of the very first Eurovision song contest ever. That is from 1956 and so it is 65 years old.

It happened to be of a Dutch song, DE VOGELS VAN HOLLAND, sung by JETTY PAERL.

This is the only physical remembrance of the song since it was not released on vinyl.

Robert told ESC Covers that Jetty Paerl used to be a war resistance hero since she was the voice of Radio Orange in London.
