ESC  COVERS are delighted to hear yesterday that the national Afrikaans radio station RADIO SONDER GRENSE will from Sunday 2 July for 13 weeks broadcast a series of songs from  the Eurovision  song contest – 1956 to 2023.

Being an Afrikaans radio station, the two pictures attached about the series are in Afrikaans.

In it they mention ABBA, CLIFF RICHARD and BROTHERHOOD OF MAN so we can expect those 3 songs in the series. They also mention VOLARE so that will be there as well.

In 13 episodes of close to an hour each, we can expect a lot of songs.

ESC COVERS will listen to each episode and report on it and what songs are going to feature.

The shows will be broadcast at just after 6 pm (the news will be first for 5  minutes), 6 pm South African time is currently with Europe having summer time, also 6 pm there CET. With radio these days people can listen direct on line.

ESC COVERS will write to the producer of the series to suggest songs that could be included and also offer some duplicate Eurovision CDs to be handed out as gifts to listeners.
