This is my first time at Road Radio Music Award in 20 years, so I was very worried. Thanks to the audience for the warm welcome!
How did you react when your song Zholtoye taksi (Yellow Taxi) won Road Radio Music Award?
Thank you so much to the audience of Road Radio for voting for the my song “Zholtoye taksi” (Yellow Taxi). My family was so happy. We monitored the song’s position on the charts and it was often at number one! I dedicate this victory to the authors of the song. The authors of the song are my husband Alexander Arshinov and talented musicians from Belarus. I’ve been working without a producer for 4 years, so it’s harder for me than other singers to promote my songs and get on the charts.
Julia, do you have a favorite New Year’s or Christmas song?
Two years ago I released a song called Novogodnyaya (New Year’s) and I always sing it before the Christmas holidays. This song gets you in the Christmas spirit.
What are you planning to give your daughter Anna for Christmas?
My daughter likes cakes. I bake cakes for her. For example, Anna asked me to bake a cake for her birthday with Ladybug. She will come up with something for the New Year and Christmas!
What are your musical plans for 2024?
I will be releasing a new song in February. I will also be working on a new album, which I hope will be released in 2024.
You are in good physical shape! How do you manage to eat healthy and don’t eat a lot of high-calorie foods?
I like sweets and cakes. There were moments when I couldn’t hold back. Now I can’t eat junk food at all. The doctor forbade it.
