The host nation for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, Austria, kicked off their campaign last night with a special show to find six acts for the final. 16 acts competed with covers or their own original songs.
The six acts that will be in the Austrian national final chosen by an expert jury are –

Johann Sebastian Bass
The Makemakes
Zoe
There will be two more shows where the six acts will face different challenges before we see who is chosen for Austria in 2015.
I read on another website that one of the three members of SHEEBA, who sang for Ireland at the 1981 Eurovision with HOROSCOPES has retired. She is Maxi (Irene McCoubrey). Here is the cover of another Sheeba single COMING TO YOU. Interesting is that this song was composed by Dutch composers Peter van Asten and Richard de Bois who write the 1984 Dutch entry IK HOU VAN JOU for Maribelle.
We turn our attention now to GREECE and the entry they had when they hosted Eurovision in 2006. It is EVERYTHING sung by ANNA VISSI. The Afrikaans cover is by AMOR VITTONE.
The next song is a real classic in South African terms. The original song is FUR ALLE by WIND, GERMANY 1985. In Afrikaans it has been covered by various artists but the biggest hit was the version of ANDRE SCHWARTZ
