GARRY HAGGER, stage name of Gert Vanderhaeghe, was born in Tielrode on 29 April 1963. He is a Flemish singer.

ESC Covers discovered recently that Garry released a CD called 12 points. On this CD is Flemish/Dutch covers of 12 Eurovision songs (9 winners and 3 other popular songs).

From yesterday  for 12 days, ESC Covers will highlight all these covers, and today we look at his cover of the 1966 Eurovision entry from AUSTRIA CHERI CHERIE which turned out to be the winner that year.

Garry’s cover is also called MERCI CHERIE and he did it in Flemish.
