Maria Mendiola passed away on September 11, 2021.

Maria was best known as the lady dressed in white of the duo Baccara that she formed with Mayte Mateos.

Baccara represented Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1978 with the song Parlez-vous Français.

In recent times, Maria formed a duo with Cristina Sevilla Martinez with whom she recently recorded the single No Sir, Don’t Say Goodbye.
