ESCCOVERS have received the following press release from Stockholm.
With a career spanning almost two decades, Måns Zelmerlöw is without a doubt one of Sweden’s most prominent and beloved artists. From his debut as a young pop phenomenon in Idol in 2005, he has developed into an international superstar who continues to impress. With several appearances on the Melodifestivalen stage – and an unforgettable win in 2015 – he is now ready to return. On February 22, Måns participates in Melodifestivalen from Malmö with the song “Revolution”, just in time for the 10th anniversary of the victory with “Heroes”.
Måns’ first encounter with Melodifestivalen came in 2007 with the iconic song “Cara Mia”, which took him to the final and quickly topped the sales charts. Two years later, he participated again with “Hope & Glory”, which also reached the final. In 2010 he took the step as host of the festival, before returning as a contestant in 2015 and winning both the Eurovision Song Contest and the Eurovision Song Contest with “Heroes”. The song was a huge success, topping charts in 21 countries and the win was followed by a sold-out European tour in 22 major cities. The following year, Måns was the host of the program, where he, together with Petra Mede, charmed millions of viewers worldwide.
Since then, Måns has continued to be constantly relevant. He has released several albums, including the personal “Time” (2019), with hits such as “On My Way”, “Walk With Me” and “Better Now”. In 2022, he released more music, toured and participated in TV4’s hit show “So much better”. 2023 offered more successes, where he led the Sports Gala, was a jury member of the Swedish “Masked Singer”, released the EP “Nightcap” and carried out two tours: one with his own band The Agreement and an acclaimed Christmas tour with Per Andersson.
2024 has not been an exception when it comes to Måns’ intense schedule. After starting the year in the studio, he once again led the Sports Gala, while returning as a jury member of “Masked Singer”. The summer was spent on the road with the tour “Everywhere but nowhere”, which took him all over Sweden.
With over 340 million streams, countless platinum awards and a charisma that few can match, there is no doubt that Måns Zelmerlöw is one of the most beloved artists of our time. Now, 10 years after the triumph with “Heroes”, expectations are sky-high for his return to Melodifestivalen – and Måns is ready to deliver.
