Over the next couple of weeks ESC Covers will be looking more closely at some of The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022 acts and songs. Today we will concentrate on Nicole Azzopardi and her hot song Into The Fire.

Into The Fire is composed by Peter Boström (one of the composers behind legendary Swedish winning ESC song of 2012 – ‘Euphoria’ by Loreen and has also worked on many other Melodifestivalen songs in Sweden), Per Jonsson, Marika Lindė, Dimitri Stassos (composed the 2009 ESC song for Spain by Soraya and the ESC song for Greece in 2012 by Eleftheria Eleftheriou) and Nektarios Tyrakis (one of the composers of the popular ‘Shake It’ by Sakis Rouvas  Greece ESC 2004).

The song, Into The Fire, is a strong and upbeat feelgood track and we look forward to the fun stage performance soon. In the meantime Nicole has set up a TikTok challenge for you show your moves on her official page here.

Nicole is no stranger to the Eurovision stage. In 2010 she represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the catchy Knock Knock…Boom! Boom! She has since released several successful singles and videos and she was a popular finalist in X Factor Malta as part of the group Xtreme. The show was used to select the Maltese act for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
