Shaznay Mangion is a talented young singer from Malta. She has just released an original single entitled When You’re My Age.
Shaznay is just 10 years old and she has a very powerful, clear and mature voice.
When You’re My Age is by Fabrizio Berlincioni. He is a very popular songwriter and tv author. He has worked with Italian Sanremo singers and stars such as Mina, Andrea Bocelli, Anna Oxa, Fausto Leali, Al Bano, Ricchi e Poveri, Raffaella Carrà and many more. His tv shows include ‘Ti lascio una canzone’ and ‘Io canto’. He was also involved with the winning 2014 Junior Eurovision winning song for Italy by Vincenzo Cantiello. The musical score is by by Mario Rosini (who finished in second place at the 2004 Sanremo Festival). Words and music are mixed by top master producer and sound engineer, Matteo Tateo.
Shaznay represented Malta at the Sanremo Junior 2021 festival with When You’re My Age. She was backed by the beautiful sound of the Sanremo Philharmonic Orchestra. Shaznay gave an incredible performance and finished in second place in her category.
Shaznay has already had much success already for her tender age with a lot of great achievements in local festivals with many top placings. She has also participated successfully in international festivals – Arpeggio – International Singers Contest 2019 (Grand-Prix runner up); Singer Stage 2019 (1st in two categories); Stars of the Albion 2019 (1st in category) (London, UK) and Je so’ Pazzo 2019 (Fiuggi, Italy)
Shaznay has also attended masterclasses with some top Italian acts in Naples, at the Village Music Academy and supported at these events by her Image Consultant, Silvana Matarazzo.
