The summer starts on Friday June 9th when Serhat releases his new summer hit “M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’. After a four-year-break of
publishing English music, the Turkish singer’s finally back with another English song to conquer the world. With infectious
beats and relatable lyrics, ‘M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’ has everything what it takes to become everyone’s singalong guilty pleasure of 2023.

‘M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’ showcases Serhat’s signature musical style, combining elements of pop, dance and world music. “People know
that I like to throw a party and get them dancing,” Serhat says. And that’s exactly what his new earworm ‘M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’ is capable of. “My goal has always been to bring joy, bringing people of all generations back together through music,” adds Serhat.

‘M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’ holds a special place in Serhat’s heart as it is a tribute to the beauty, energy, and spirit of what the Greek Island stands for. The music of ‘M.Y.K.O.N.O.S.’ was written by Serhat himself. For the lyrics he called on lyricist Jens Geerts. The track is a celebration and homage to Serhat’s favorite holiday destination. “On Mykonos I find myself in the most peaceful way thinkable. It’s where my fantasy becomes reality and I can only hope that everyone has a place like that. If not, everyone is welcome to come with me to Mykonos,” Serhat jokes.

Serhat is no stranger to feel-good summer pop songs. His track record includes Latino inspired dance songs like ‘Je m’adore’ and ‘Chocolate Flavour’. This musical genre earned him a devoted global fan base. To many, the Turkish singer-songwriter, presenter, TV and music producer is best known for his two-time participations at the Eurovision Song Contest (in 2016 and 2019). His first entry ‘I Didn’t
Know’, featuring the legendary ‘It’s Raining Men’ singer Martha Wash, even reached 25th place in the American charts. His self-composed song ‘Say Na Na Na’ achieved the best score ever for San Marino and has been translated into several languages since, including Spanish and German.

In 2018 he released the ballade ‘Total Disguise’ with Eurovision winner Helena Paparizou, reaching the highest position in the Greek charts.
