On the eve of the 2023 Eurovision final, the EBU announced that LUXEMBOURG will return to the contest in 2024, 30 years after it stopped participating.
The last time Luxembourg participated in the Eurovision Song Contest was 1993. Today, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that Luxembourg will return for Eurovision 2024.
Luxembourg participated in the Eurovision Song Contest right from the early start in 1956 and almost every year until 1993. The 37 participations resulted in 5 victories:
- 1961: Jean-Claude Pascal – “Nous Les Amoureux“
- 1965: France Gall – “Poupée De Cire, Poupée De Son“
- 1972: Vicky Leandros – “Après Toi“
- 1973: Anne-Marie David – “Tu Te Reconnaîtras“
- 1983: Corinne Hermès – “Si La Vie Est Cadeau“
The country has also hosted the contest 4 times: 1962, 1966, 1973 and 1984.
We hope they will again provide interesting entries.
