ESC COVERS have received a third press released from PR & BEYOND in Stockholm over an act that will take part in the 2025 Swedish Eurovision selection.
The humor group KAJ consists of friends Kevin Holmström, Axel Åhman and Jakob Norrgård – a trio from Vörå in Ostrobothnia, Finland, who in 2009 combined their initials to form KAJ. Since then, they have combined humor and music and created a unique place in the heart of Swedish Finland.
With seven albums, several prestigious awards and two self-written musicals at Wasa Teater, KAJ has established itself as one of the biggest cultural exports from Ostrobothnia. Their 10th anniversary was celebrated with a big arena show, and they have toured extensively throughout Swedish Finland. Their Ostrobothnian humor gospel has spread all over the republic and it’s hard not to get carried away by their songs, performed in Swedish with a charming Spring dialect.
The trio has been awarded several awards over the years, including the Leif Sjöström award, Finnish Swedish Song of the Year Swedish Night Medal, Österbottning of the Year, and Rural Actor of the Year.
In the spring of 2024, KAJ released his seventh album, “Karar i arbeit”, which quickly became a fan favorite. In the fall, they followed up with a tour of the same name, which quickly sold out in several locations. The show mixes music from throughout his career with sketches and humorous interludes – a combination that has been unanimously praised by audiences and critics alike.
“If you read this review only to know if the whole thing is fun and worth going to, the answer is undoubtedly yes.” – YLE
“It’s accessible and folksy, and alarmingly easy to like.” – Hufvudstadsbladet
Now it’s Sweden’s turn to take part in KAJ’s humor and music! First, several sold-out performances of “Karar i arbeit” await in Stockholm, before the group takes the Melodifestivalen stage in Malmö on February 22 with the song “Bara bada sauna”. With his irresistible charm and humor, KAJ is ready to take Sweden by storm.
