KAREL GOTT is probably the biggest artist ever to come out of the old Czechoslovakia. He has recorded between 500 and 700 songs in his career. Roy van der Merwe of ESC Covers is a big fan of Karel, who represented Austria in the 1968 Eurovision song contest with a song composed by Udo Jurgens called TAUSEND FENSTER.
For a couple of weeks, we will publish several KAREL GOTT songs in the Czech language – songs that have been big hits in English by other artists.
The third song is a duet between KAREL GOTT & HELENA VONDRACKOVA. The title is JEN PAR VECERU. It is a Czech version of the 1951 song UNFORGETTABLE of Nat King Cole.
