James Newman will sing ‘Embers’ for United Kingdom at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest

James Newman will perform the upbeat banger, Embers, for United Kingdom at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

The first play of the song was on BBC Radio 2 by Ken Bruce. James was on the phone and he explained he wanted to write an upbeat and positive song after a miserable year for everybody.

James worked with Conor Blake, Danny Shah, Tom Hollings and Samuel Brennan. The brass sound is by Swedes, Mattias Bylund and Magnus Johansson, who worked with acts like The Weeknd.

James Newman was originally chosen to sing for the UK at the 2020 Eurovision with My Last Breath. However, the contest was cancelled due to the Covid-19 situation.
