The Sanremo festival 2022 has begun in Italy. 12 acts took to the stage. The eventual winner of the festival is offered the opportunity to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.

The expert jury ranking for the first night were –

1. Mahmood & Blanco – Brividi
2. La Rappresentante di Lista – Ciao Ciao
3. Dargen D’Amico – Dove si balla
4. Gianni Morandi – Apri tutte le porte
5. Massimo Ranieri – Lettera di là dal mare
6. Noemi – Ti amo non lo so dire
7. Michele Bravi – Inverno dei fiori
8. Rkomi – Insuperabile
9. Achille Lauro – Domenica
10. Giusy Ferreri – Miele
11. Yuman – Ora e qui
12. Ana Mena – Duecentomila ore
