Norbert from ESC Dublin to Amsterdam reports that Iceland will choose its entry for Liverpool tonight.
After two semi-finals, five candidates are still in the race to represent Iceland in Liverpool in May. Two candidates qualified per semi-final and the group Celebs received the wildcard. In both semi-finals, all songs were sung in the Icelandic language. Tonight the choice of language is free, but the version must be sung with which the candidate wants to take to the Eurovision song contest. Only one candidate, Langi Seli og Skuggarnir, continues to sing in their own language. The rest switch to English.
The five will first have to convince the televoters and the jury to qualify for the super final for which the top 2 qualify. After that, it is only the televoters who decide who will represent Iceland.
The finalists:
*Sigga Ózk – Dancing Lonely
* BRAGI – Sometimes the World’s Against You
* Celebs – Doomsday Dancing
* Dilja – Power
* Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
