For the entire month of February, ESC Covers will take every day a South African artist/group/duo on a virtual tour to Europe. We will visit 28 countries.

Day 17 takes us to LATVIA, another country not often on the radar.  The SA artist who will be “touring” there, is WILLEM BOTHA. He is happy to be the artist “touring” to this country  who have brought us some beautiful Eurovision entries.

Willem Botha  covered the 2008 Eurovision entry from  LATVIA WOLVES OF THE SEA by Pirates of the sea.  Willem’s Afrikaans cover is called HI HI HO. Willem recorded two versions of the song, the second version is called the Bokke version which is a song that can be seen as a song for the audience at a sport event, like rugby or soccer.
