There is a new generation of composers in Sweden and one of them is JIMMY JANSSON. In 2014 he was composer to songs like

Fred Medeiros of ESC Covers said HELLO HI to him at the Second chance contest as he was there as composer for
HELLO HI – DOLLY STYLE
Pity they did not advance to the final in Stockholm but the chances are good that the song will be in Afrikaans soon.
And hopefully next year Jimmy is back with a new bunch of songs.

I’m on a train to Stockholm at the moment as our flight was cancelled due to Norwegian pilots striking. Jimmy Jansson participated 3 times himself in Melodifestivalen. In a boy band (Poets) he created in 2002, “What Difference does it Make?”. In 2005, he performed solo and reached the final with “Vi kan gunga” and finished 6th. In 2007, he wrote and sang “Amanda” which went to the second chance but failed to reach the final as he was beaten by Sanna Nielson. Which was covered by another Eurovision group, D’Nash of Spain.
He wrote the 2 songs you mentioned last year. He also wrote Dolly Style’s “Hello Hi” and the Rickard Söderberg & Elize Ryd song “One by One” for this year’s Melodifestivalen. He definitely and up and coming writer and am sure he would be a great contact to have. I gave him a card and he was flattered when I said that we have South African and other international artists that may be interested in covering some of his songs.
I now went to listen to the song WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE by Poets from 2002 (since Jimmy was a member of this group). Interesting to note is that THOMAS G:SON composed it – so Jimmy learned his craft from one of the most experienced composers.
Also listened to VI KAN GUNGA by Jimmy (solo) from 2005. This is really a catchy song and actually composed by Jimmy and Thomas together
Lastly I also went to listen to AMANDA from 2007 but this is nothing special (except for girls who’s name is Amanda).
