ESC Covers received sad new. During a routine test at the Eurovision Song Contest venue on Saturday, May 15, a member of the Polish delegation tested positive for COVID-19.

The delegation was last on site on Thursday. Then the entire delegation had a negative COVID-19 test. In accordance with protocol, this person is now in isolation. As a precaution in the run-up to the contest, the other members of their delegation will now undergo a PCR test and quarantine.

As a result, the Polish delegation will not be personally present at the turquoise carpet on Sunday, May 16.
