It is now 16 days to the 2024 Eurovision final in Malmo, Sweden. For  20 days running I will highlight one song from each of the last 20 years and I have started with 2004. Now with 16 days to go it this the 2008 Eurovision.

The 2008 Eurovision song contest took place in BELGRADE, SERBIA, the first and only time they have hosted.

For the 8th year in a row a new country won the Eurovision song contest. This time the winner is BELIEVE from RUSSIA by DINA BILAN.

My favourite song from 2008 and also my top song from the new millennium is the entry from LATVIA WOLVES OF THE SEA by PIRATES OF THE SEA.
