It is now 14 days to the 2024 Eurovision final in Malmo, Sweden. For  20 days running I will highlight one song from each of the last 20 years and I have started with 2004. Now with 14 days to go it this the 2010 Eurovision.

The 2010 Eurovision song contest took place in OSLO, NORWAY. This was Norway’s third hosting and the second in Oslo.

The 2010 winner was LENA for GERMANY with SATELLITE. This was Germany’s second victory after 1982 with Nicole. It was the first big 4/5 winner in a long time.

My favourite song came from the Netherlands in the form of a Pierre Kartner composition. SIENEKE performed IK BEN VERLIEFD (SHA-LA-LIE). The song unfortunately did not make it to the final. Another song that failed to make the final was SWEDEN, so far their only time missing the final.
