It is now 10 days to the 2024 Eurovision final in Malmo, Sweden. For  20 days running I will highlight one song from each of the last 20 years and I have started with 2004. Now with 10 days to go it this the 2014 Eurovision.

The 2014 Eurovision song contest took place in COPENAGEN, DENMARK. The 2014 winner was CONCHITA WURST from AUSTRIA with RISE LIKE A PHOENIX. It was Austria’s second victory, the first way back in 1966 with UDO JURGENS. Sad that Udo died about 5-6 months before the Eurovision in Vienna.

VALENTINA MONETTA was back for SAN MARINO, the third year in a row. This time she performed MAYBE (FORSE) and finally qualified to the final. It was again with a song composed by RALPH SIEGEL.
