ESC COVERS received another press release from Stockholm over one oft he artists in the 2025 Swedish Eurovision selection.
Erik Segerstedt is the songbird from Uddevalla who had a breakthrough in 2006 after his participation in Idol. Soon after, he got a record deal and released his debut album ‘A Different Shade’ and then started the pop group EMD together with friends Danny Saucedo and Mattias Andréasson. The group split up in 2010 and since then Erik has continued to write and release music as Sweden’s ‘Snygg-Erik’.
He has participated in the biggest TV programs both in Sweden and around Europe, where he has also made himself a given place to reinforce successful artists such as Robin Bengtsson and Felix Sandman in the scenes over the years.
In 2025, Erik Segerstedt participates for the first time as a solo artist in the Melodifestivalen with the self-written song ‘Show Me What Love Is’, which is about the eternal question – what is love really? A longing, a wait and all the emotional storms to be sure that you have found the right one.
