EASTER EGGS IN LIVERPOOL

Ian Fowell of ESC Covers, who lives in Liverpool, sent us the following.

The giant Easter eggs are designed by children from across the Liverpool region and the Ukrainian community. The are on display in the Liverpool ONE shopping mall. They are inspired by the Ukrainian and Eastern European tradition of egg painting. They are called Pysanka Eggs. There are seven eggs in all representing each Liverpool City region and one for Ukraine.

Hopefully visitors to Liverpool for the Eurovision song contest will get to see all seven. We attach the picture of one inside the post and another as the featured image.
