SWEDEN has won the 2023 Eurovision song contest and will host in 2024. That co-inside with the 50th anniversary of them winning in 1974 with ABBA.

For the next 50 days ESC Covers will post one song a day which is a Swedish song, either an actual entry, a selection song, or a song by a Eurovision artist covered in South Arica, either in Afrikaans or English.

Song 6 is LEVE LYCKLIG. This song was originally recorded by the boyband ARVINGARNA. They represented Sweden at the 1993 Eurovision song contest with Eloise. Now Leve lycklig was just a song on one of their albums.

Eurovision South Africa pitched the song to Sony South Africa who gave it to DEWALD LOUW to record on his CD. His Afrikaans cover is called LIEFKRY.
