Ida Andia from Romania continues with her predictions about whether the entries in semi final 1 of the 2019 Eurovision song contest will reach the final.
”Storm”, performed by Victor Crone, is a great entry for Estonia. I just hope he will keep the staging as it was staged at Eesti Laul – a STORM on the stage! Estonia sends this year another good song, like always. I think he could be in TOP 10 (like last year) because the song is so strong and catchy.
We are continuing with Ida Andia from Romania’s predictions who will make the final from semi final 1. Today is the turn of Hungary.
Joci Papai has a nice voice and a unique style to perform on the stage. I like this singer because he sends emotion. I liked the 2017 entry of Hungary, Origo, who was in TOP 10 in Kyiv. I like that he sings in Hungarian. His song for this year is called AZ EN APAM. The lyrics of his song really touches the soul (if you are interested what he sings about). I really think he could be again high in the Grand Final. Joci is one of a couple of artists returning to the Eurovision stage this year.
Ida Andia of Romania continues to look at the 17 entries from semi final 1 for the 2019 Eurovision song contest and predict which ones will make it to the final.
The third country I am looking at is the Czech Republic. I really don’t understand why many people hate the song. It’s a radio song, so friendly. Sometimes it seems to be repetitive but that’s why is catchy. It’s not as good as ”Lie to me” (the last entry of Czech Republic and the best one for this country has send to Eurovision), but the Czech republic could qualify. Lake Malawi is a popular band in their country. The video is interesting too.
Today is the second part from Ida Andia of Romania who is looking at the 17 songs in the first semi final and whether the songs will qualify for the 2019 Eurovision final. She picked Belarus as the second country.
”I like it”, the Belorussian song seems to be a typical one for radio. But even so, I don’t like it. Nothing special. I don’t think Belarus will qualify to the Final. Last year, Belarus had a very good song (+ great staging!) and did not qualify. Zena could not dance and sing so good at the same time.
Ida Andia from Romania joins the team of the Eurovision coverage facebook as of today. She will listen to each and every entry in the two semi finals and discuss their chances of reaching the final.
Here is what Ida wrote over the first song of semi final 1 she listened to
I am starting with Cyprus. I think that Cyprus will qualify for the Grand Final and could even be in TOP 10. It is a fresh song, with a modern/ summer vibe. Tamta has a nice voice and she can sing very well live. The song can easily become a hit (like Fuego) because is catchy. I like it and I have it on replay.
