Now it’s time to send in a contribution to Melodifestivalen 2021. From today, Monday 24 August (today) and until 16 September at 23.59, anyone who wants to compete can send in songs on the site melodifestivalen.se.

– In these times, it feels incredibly nice to open the submission of grants just as we usually do. This is the starting shot for Melodifestivalen 2021. I think that strong songs and entertainment that brings the Swedish people together will feel more important than ever in the future, says Karin Gunnarsson , competition producer for Melodifestivalen 2021.

28 entries will compete in Melodifestivalen 2021. The selection jury selects 14 songs from the submitted entries and the other 14 entries consist of competitors who have been specially invited by SVT or who SVT has selected from among the submitted entries.

Songs and artists competing in the Melodifestivalen 2021 will be announced at a later time. One of the artists who will compete will be ready already on September 12, when a place in the Melodifestivalen 2021 goes to one of the finalists in the Swedish Radio competition P4 Next.

On Monday 24 August , the registration site will open at the address melodifestivalen.se .
