TENTH QUESTION – of 12

We have just heard the news that a song composed by Danne Attlerud of Sweden is one of the songs in the 2015 Irish selection. I went Danne for the first time in 2004 in Istanbul when he composed (with others) the song for Norway that year – HIGH – which remains one of my top songs. I will dearly like Danne to be at Eurovision again, he has come so close several times, like with Malta in 2013 and Denmark in 2014. I can ask so many questions over this, but I will keep it easy – who sang HIGH for Norway in 2004?

FORTH QUESTION – of 12

Today’s question is about Montenegro because many people commented on me wearing a Montenegro t-shirt during the interview last night with the KYKNET show, FLITS. I have received many t-shits over the years at Eurovision and have 41 of them. The Montenegro one is my favourite because of the little design that looks like a vinyl single. Any way, the question is that Montenegro had a song in Eurovision one year composed by Ralph Siegel. This is also the only Montenegro entry covered in Afrikaans. Give the title of this song.

THIRD QUESTION – of 12

N R K, the Norwegian broadcaster, announced today the 11 songs for their selection for Vienna. It is a comeback for TOR ENDRESEN who has represented Norway before at Eurovision. I was playing with the idea to ask a very tough question and then discovered I do not even know the answer myself. Tor was in the Norwegian selection many years ago with a song called RADIO LUXEMBOURG. It did not win that year (I wanted to ask which year but then discovered I do not even know myself) but the song became a huge hit. The interesting aspect of this song is that it was composed by ROLF LOVLAND who wrote the 1985 and 1995 Eurovision winners and of course the world wise success YOU RAISE ME UP. So the easy question is, what is the song called that Tor had in the Eurovision – it is a famous city in the USA. This fits in well with his new song ALL OVER THE WORLD, so lets hope we get people all over the world entering our competition

SECOND QUESTION – of 12

2007 when the contest was held in Helsinki, Finland, the Czech republic made its début. They participated just 3 times and then withdrew, only to return this year in Vienna. But a Czech singer sang for AUSTRIA in 1968 with a song composed by UDO JURGENS called TAUSEND FENSTER. What is the name of this singer? He is the most known of all Czech singers and a couple of years ago celebrated his 70th birthday and a CD set with his 70 biggest hits were released. There songs are in the Czech language and some interesting ones are

Delilah of Tom Jones in Czech

El condor paza of Simon & Garfunkel in Czech

Let your love flow of Bellamy brothers in Czech

Mandy of Barry Manilow in Czech

Love me tender of Elvis Presley in Czech

Annie’s song of John Denver in Czech

Unfortunately NO euro cover but is is still interesting to hear these songs in a very exotic language byone if the world’s best singers (in my opinion).
