After a turbulent day in the Netherlands selection process; despite being a member short this evening, Unity won the Netherlands Junior selection contest and will represent their country in Warsaw.

Hours before the contest was due to take place at the Ahoy arena, it was announced that participants Robin and Demi from Unity had tested positive for Covid-19 and would therefore be unable to complete.

For fan favourite Robin, this meant withdrawing from the competition, while Unity performed with the remaining 3 members who went on to win.

Further Covid related issues notwithstanding, Demi will rejoin the rest of the girls to perform their song ‘BestFriends’ for the final in November.

Karakat Bashanova with her song ‘Forever has been selected to represent Kazakhstan at this years Junior Eurovision song contest.

After winning the judges vote, Karakat narrowly beat off Ayim Mukitanova after to seal her place in Poland later this year.

Following her win at the national final. the official video for the German entry for Junior Eurovision 2020 has now been released.

Writer, Levent Geiger also appears in the video which was shot in and around Berlin during September.

Sofia Feskova has been chosen to represent Russia at Junior Eurovision 2020.

Rutger Garecht won the public vote which concluded earlier this week, but at the live show (which will be broadcast this evening) Sofia overtook Rutger by virtue of the judges votes, to be crowned the winner.

Sofia will represent her country with her song Moy Novy Den (My New Day)

Serbia announced this year’s Junior Eurovision contestant earlier today and for the first time, it’s a boy – Petar Aničić.

Petar will be the first boy to represent Serbia and has a YouTube channel (Patar Covers) where he showcases his vocal talents- check it out on the link below

Online public voting is now underway in the Russian selection for Junior Eurovision 2020.

11 contestants will perform at the final which will be recorded on the 25th Sep and is due to be broadcast the following day.

Voting is due to close on the 24th and at the time of writing, the current votes are as follows:
