The long road to find the 2019 Eurovision song for Lithuania has begun with the start of Eurovizijos atranka 2019.

Six acts qualified for the next phase from the first show –

  • AldegundaI Want Your Love
  • Twosome 1000
  • Glossarium Anyone
  • Šarūnas MačiulisTraukinys

Spain: Eurovision Gala of Operación Triunfo – final songs announced

The 10 songs that will compete in the final of the Eurovision Gala of Operación Triunfo in Spain have been announced –

  • MaríaMuérdeme – Public Vote Qualifier
  • NoeliaHoy vuelvo a reír otra vez – Public Vote Qualifier
  • Natalia La clave – Public Vote Qualifier
  • FamousNo puedo más
  • MikiLa venda
  • Marilia Todo bien
  • Natalia & Miki Nadie se salva
  • Sabela Hoy soñaré
  • Julia Qué quieres que haga
  • CarlosSe te nota

For 2019 any of the 16 selected Operación Triunfo  finalists could have been picked to sing a song. There was originally 17 songs. The top three automatically voted for the by the public online voting made it to the final. The broadcaster TVE selected the other seven.

Famous was the overall winner of the 2018 edition of Operación Triunfo.

2019 Eurovision Song Contest slogan revealed – Dare to Dream

The slogan for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed. It is Dare to Dream.

The executive supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest, Jan Ola Sand, said “This aspirational tag line represents and symbolises everything that the Eurovision Song Contest is about. It’s about inclusion. It’s about diversity. It’s about unity”.

Auditions begin for Georgian Idol – winning act will represent Georgia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest

The auditions for the Georgian Idol competition have begun in Tbilisi. The eventual winners will represent Georgia at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, Israel next May.

Auditions will go out around the country to find the best acts to take part in the popular contest.

We may well see some familiar faces from previous national selections and Junior Eurovision and, of course, some new faces.

The shows will be broadcast on GPB tv from 1 January 2019.

Tel Aviv confirmed to host 2019 Eurovision Song Contest …and dates revealed for shows

After much speculation it has finally been confirmed that Tel Aviv will be the host city for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.

The contest will be held at the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Center).

The dates for the shows have also been revealed. The semi-finals will be on Tuesday 14 May and Thursday 16 May and the grand final will be on Saturday 18 May.
