BARRY MASON, WELL KNOWN COMPOSER DIED AT THE AGE OF 85

BARRY MASON, a well known composer died on 16 April at the age of 85.

Barry has composed many songs that became big hits like THE LAST WALTZ for Engelbert Humperdinck and DELILAH for Tom Jones.

He unfortunately composed just one Eurovision selection song as far as ESC Covers could discover. The song is called I’LL TRY NOT TO CRY and was sung by KATHY KIRBY. It ended up in second place in the 1965 United Kingdom Eurovision selection.
